I was ther with some friends in april 05, and i can say i love Venezia, is one of the prettiest cities i´ve ever seen, you should go soon.

The hostel is great, there is so many luxury hotels in venice, but prices are too too expensive, so there are two ways, to book a modest but cheap place in venice, or by the same price, somewhere a bit better but in mestre, and i prefer a worse place but in downtown...

The hostel is clean enough, it´s situated in Cannaregio, north of Venice, and it is close to every important place there, there is an important sumermarket at 500m, and that is strange in venice.

Rooms are shared, but are ok, the main part of the hostal has been renovated and staff is kind.

Prices are so so low that is a perfect choice!

I also recommend to visit Venice at night, from 23h there is nobody by the streeets, and in my opinion that is the best view os real Venezia, pretty, tapeworm, declining and satately, and it is safety, no fears!

Santa Fosca is the perfect place for me!
Nice hostel, nice price,friendly staff, close to everything - you don't need to take a boat( it's enough expensive!), you can only walk and enjoy! Near is the one of the few supermarkets in Venice!
I was last October, but after send my friends that have the same impesions. Now I am going to recomend again to my friend who is going to visit Venice because really Santa Fosca is the perfect place to stay in Venice.

Soltanto dire che è un buono ostello per prezzio! Ma molto zanzara....è un problema! Mi piacevo il suo giardino è la stanza.

Central Venice for only 10 sterling per night? You must be mad. Thank goodness we found this clean, friendly hostel and saved our money for cakes, icecreams and pizza
